Speaking with Vee Haslam
Speaking

A session your people will feel, not just hear

Vee Haslam speaks on finding clarity in the busyness, drawn from her book Our World Needs Your Song. Then she sits at the piano and guides the room through a live MOJO Practice, with music improvised for the people in front of her. It is played once, for that room, and never again.

Two ways to bring Vee to your people

One for leaders and teams, one for retreat leaders and facilitators.

For leaders and teams

Clarity in the Busyness

A keynote and live piano experience for your event or team day

In the rush of a full day, clarity is the first thing to go. Vee shows your people why busyness turns capable people into performers, and how a single pause, trained a minute at a time, brings clarity back. Then the whole room experiences it together at the piano, in a guided practice shaped around your agenda and focus: a one-off experience for your team or event participants.

  • A calmer, clearer team, ready for better conversations and decisions
  • A deeper connection to what matters, and to themselves
  • Music made only for your team: the moment they still talk about

60 minutes, or adapted to 45 minutes to fit your program. In person or online, and can extend to a half or full day. Includes a recording of the guided practice to share with your attendees.

For retreat leaders and facilitators

A Song for the Room

Guided reflection and live, improvised piano, composed for your group, to complement the work you are doing together

You have created the space and the program. Vee guides your group through reflections shaped around the heart of your work, improvising music for them as they go.

  • Deeper integration of what’s come up in your work
  • A moment your group will never hear anywhere else
  • A richer retreat to offer, and room for you to be in it too

30 or 60 minutes, in person or online, with 15 to 20 minutes at the piano and a reflection with your group. To open, after deep work, or to close. Includes a recording of the piece for your participants. Partners of MOJO Practice receive 20% off.

Played once, for these people, and never again.

Vee is a classically trained pianist who spent years following the sheet music, at the piano and in life. Today she plays without it. Each piece is improvised in the moment, in response to the people in the room, so no two sessions are ever the same. Words can explain presence. Music lets people feel it.

Make it a half or full day

For team days and leadership retreats, Vee weaves keynote, workshop, reflection and live piano through the day, so clarity is something your people return to, not a single moment.

Half day · 3.5 to 4 hours

Three sessions

  • Opening, 45 minutes: the Clarity in the Busyness keynote, closing with the first live practice at the piano.
  • Workshop, 75 to 90 minutes: the four presence capacities applied to your people’s real pressures, with reflection in pairs and a piano pause along the way.
  • Closing, 30 to 45 minutes: guided reflection with improvised piano. Each person names one thing they’ll carry back.
Full day · 6 to 7 hours

Five sessions

  • Opening: the keynote and live practice.
  • Morning workshop, the head: noticing the patterns, stories and “shoulds” that drive us when we’re busy.
  • After lunch: a 15-minute piano reset to bring energy and attention back.
  • Afternoon workshop, heart and higher self: what really matters to each person, and how they want to show up.
  • Closing: guided reflection with music improvised for your group.

Both include a planning call, a recording of the closing practice to share with attendees, and an extended free trial of Your Pocket MOJO for every attendee. The full day adds recordings of every piano piece from the day, and a follow-up note from Vee to share a week later.

About Vee

Twenty years ago, she froze for two years

During her postgraduate program, Vee lost her voice to silence and a harsh inner critic. That experience taught her what happens when we push our humanity aside under pressure, and it shaped everything she does now.

Vee is the creator of MOJO Practice™ and the Your Pocket MOJO™ app, co-founder of PurposeOrgOS™, and the author of Our World Needs Your Song (2026) and, with Bernie Kelly, For Purpose Leaders: Navigating What Matters (2025). She holds an A.Mus.A in piano and has guided leaders, teams and university students through change for more than twenty years.

  • End-of-year and new-year events
